On Sunday Jews escaping the war in Israel arrived at an airport in Dagestan, Russia, with a mob of Muslim extremists storming the tarmac. The North Caucasus Republic of Dagestan is a Muslim-majority region, an autonomous republic within the Russian Federation. Yaroslav Trofimov, chief foreign affairs correspondent of The Wall Street Journal, reports that signs have been seen in the region that read: “Entry to citizens of Israel (Jews) strictly forbidden.” During the attack at the airport, the mob broke through security and occupied the runway while passengers who were disembarking had to get back into the plane and shut the door. The mob was running around the airport looking for a “plane with the Jews.”
