During fiscal year 2023 Border Patrol agents have apprehended more than 24,000 migrants along the Southwest border from the People’s Republic of China (PRC). A DHS report, reviewed by Breitbart Texas, reveals an increase of more than 1,115 percent in apprehensions of PRC migrants compared to the last year. There has been a significant increase compared to fiscal year 2021 when a total of 342 migrants from PRC were encountered by Border Patrol. Just since June of 2023, over 11,000 Chinese nationals have entered the U.S. Reports dating back to FY 2007 from Border Patrol show less than 20,000 apprehensions of Chinese migrants. Retired Army Colonel, former Dean of Students at the National War College, and former intelligence officer, Dr. Kenneth Allard expressed concern over the lack of intelligence regarding the rise in migrant apprehensions of citizens from PRC. However, the FBI claims that intelligence is a top priority in regards to threats emanating from the CCP and those loyal to it.
