Even before the end of Day 3 of the Israel-Hamas War, the total death toll has reached over 1,100 killed with an estimated 800 being Israelis. Among the dead are 260 confirmed killed while attending a music festival in southern Israeli which apparently was one of the first places struck by Hamas. Over 2,200 Israelis and 2,600 people in Gaza have been injured in the fighting. Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have said that all the towns and settlements in southern Israel which were invaded by Hamas have come back under Israeli control. Meanwhile, Israeli Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant has ordered a “complete siege” of Gaza. Gallant said, “No electricity, food, fuel or water will be delivered to the enclave, which is surrounded on three sides by Israel and Egypt.” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said over the weekend, “We will take mighty vengeance for this wicked day. Hamas launched a cruel and wicked war. We will win this war but the price is too heavy to bear. Hamas wants to murder us all. This is an enemy that murders mothers and children in their homes, in their beds. An enemy that abducts elderly, children, teenage girls.” Hamas says it is holding 163 people hostage in Gaza.
