A report published Friday by the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a think tank in Washington, says that satellite photos showing a sudden increase in the amount of rail traffic between North Korea and Russia could indicate that rumors saying that Kim Jong Un and Vladimir Putin have in fact reached an arms deal.  Rumors about such a deal swirled last month when Kim traveled to Russia and met with Putin.  The report said, “Given that Kim and Putin discussed some military exchanges and cooperation at their recent summit, the dramatic increase in rail traffic likely indicates North Korea’s supply of arms and munitions to Russia.”  There is speculation that in exchange for munitions to refill Russian stores drained by it’s war with Ukraine, Russia is giving North Korea military technology to advance its nuclear weapons program.
