Pro-Life Centers Sued by State of California Over ‘Abortion Pill Reversal’

Last week a lawsuit was filed by California Attorney General Rob Bonta (D) against two pro-life pregnancy centers in relation to their “abortion pill reversal” advertisements. Bonta announced the lawsuit against the agencies RealOptions Obria and Heartbeat International, claiming that abortion pill reversal is “scientifically unproven and risky.” The companies advertise that they are able to help reverse the effects of the abortion pill through progesterone, a necessary hormone for pregnancy. The lawsuit claims that the abortion pill reversal is “an experimental protocol.” Bonta hopes the lawsuit will result in blocking pregnancy clinic centers from advertising the protocol as “safe and effective.”
