NFL’s First Trans Cheerleader Wishes to Inspire Youth

Objectivity 4.7 | Credibility 4.7 | Relevance 4.7

The NFL’s first transgender cheerleader, Justine Lindsay, hopes to inspire trans youths to accomplish all they aspire to do. It’s Lindsay’s second season dancing for the Carolina Panthers TopCats and desires nothing more than to motivate those who feel oppressed because of their trans identity. “Everything that I’m going through now, it’s bigger than me…I’m setting things up for the younger generation. No one is going to stop this show,” says Lindsay. Other members on the cheer squad are in full support of Lindsay and his goals.  Lindsay expressed his sadness that states such as North Carolina are allegedly causing children to lose access to sports, referring to male children not being allowed to compete in female school sports.
