Republican Texas Senator Ted Cruz has suggested that the Democratic Party could replace President Joe Biden with former First Lady Michelle Obama in the 2024 presidential election. Cruz outlined a scenario in which Democratic “kingmakers” replace Biden with Michelle Obama to avoid the challenges of selecting a candidate from among other prominent Democrats. He also argued that Barack Obama wields significant influence in the current administration. Cruz believes that Michelle Obama’s candidacy could unify the Democratic Party under the banner of “the Obamas saving the day.” While Cruz is not the first to speculate on this possibility, Michelle Obama has not endorsed Biden for a second term.
