In the suburbs of Chicago during a Jason Aldean concert, a group of communists staged a protest outside of the stadium burning American flags. Many of the protesters were wearing Revolutionary Communist Party clothing while chanting and singing about how America was “never great.” Aldean’s new hit song, “Try That in a Small Town,” provoked a response from one protestor who said, “Guess what Jason. We will try that in a small town, we will try that in a big city, and we will try it right in front of your face!” The police stepped in and declared the protest an “unlawful assembly that has alarmed and disturbed others,” and warned that “chemical or less lethal munitions [could be] deployed” if they failed to leave the area. The group eventually complied and police extinguished the flames.
