Bible-Based Education Program Expands in Public Schools Across 11 States

Objectivity 4.2 | Credibility 4.8 | Relevance 4.8

Ohio-based Christian ministry LifeWise Academy has witnessed significant growth in its Bible-based education program for public schools. Launched in 2019, the program has expanded to over 300 public schools across 11 states. This initiative allows students to participate in religious education during school hours with parental and school consent. Despite the decline in such programs since the 1940s due to secularization, the recent surge might signify a turning point. LifeWise’s program spans five years, immersing students in the Bible and its teachings. Founder Joel Penton believes the program’s integration into school hours helps reach a broader audience and emphasizes the importance of parental approval.
