Wagner Group mercenaries are training Belarusian special forces at the Brest military range just 3 miles from the border of NATO-member Poland, according to the Belarus defense ministry. The ministry published pictures of Belarusian troops using armored vehicles on a rifle range and what appears to be drone controls.  Wagner CEO Yevgeny Prigozhin said in a video that Wagner will help train the Belarus army before going to Africa.  A Wagner senior commander said, “Up to 10 thousand fighters have gone or will go to Belarus.” Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said that Polish troops are redeploying to Biala Podlaska, about 28 miles from Brest.  Blaszczak said, “it is to show Russia that Poland’s border should not be crossed, that it would not pay off to attack Poland.”  One expert believes that Russia could be positioning Wagner to strike first if the Kremlin thinks NATO will actively join Ukraine’s war with Russia.
