Train Derailment in Pennsylvania Prompts Level 2 Hazmat Response

Objectivity 4.0 | Credibility 4.8 | Relevance 4.7

Early Monday morning a 40-car CSX freight train derailed in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, prompting a Level 2 hazmat response that forced the evacuation of residents in a community near the tracks.  Emergency crews responded to the scene at 4:50am EST. Officials determined the leaked material from the train cars was silicone pellets which posed no threat to the community and lifted the evacuation order. Just hours later, an  ill-timed Twitter post from President Biden said, “My Administration is committed to constructing a 21st-century rail system.”
