Bud Light Sponsors Pride Parade Where Naked Men Stood Around Children

Objectivity 4.1 | Credibility 4.8 | Relevance 4.7

Bud Light has faced criticism for sponsoring the Toronto Pride parade, where videos captured naked men riding bikes in the presence of children. The footage shows the participants waving to the crowd, including kids. The controversial partnership with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney resulted in plummeting sales for Bud Light. Beer industry brand strategist Ethan Stienstra suggested that Bud Light should return to its “fun, witty” brand and mock its own faults. However, the company’s website states, “Bud Light Canada has been a proud partner of Pride Toronto for the last 10 years. This year, we’re commemorating this milestone with Pride Toronto by featuring them on our can design, as well as continuing as the official beer sponsor of the festival.”
