On Monday the FBI brought in the document being requested by House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) to Capitol Hill to be reviewed by Comer and ranking member Jamie Raskin (D-MD) in a secure SCIF (sensitive compartmented information facility).  But despite viewing the document and being briefed by bureau officials, Comer said he will begin the process of holding FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt of Congress on Thursday.  The document in question is an FBI-generated FD-1023 form that allegedly contains details on a $5 million criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Joe Biden and a foreign national per the claims of a whistleblower.  The whistleblower making the claim is said to be a “highly credible” FBI confidential source who has been used by the bureau for multiple investigative matters since the Obama administration.
