FBI Shut Down Four Criminal Investigations Into the Clintons: Durham Report

Objectivity 4.8 | Credibility 4.8 | Relevance 4.8

Special Counsel John Durham’s report revealed that top FBI officials shut down four criminal investigations into the Clintons.  In 2014, a “well-placed” confidential source claimed contributions were to be made to Hillary Clinton’s anticipated presidential campaign by an unnamed foreign government to gain influence if Clinton became president.  The investigation into this claim by the FBI prompted the investigating field office to seek a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), however, it remained “in limbo” for about four months.  Durham’s report revealed comments of another field agent about the lingering FISA that “everyone was ‘super more careful'” and “scared with the big name [Clinton]” involved. The report also revealed that former FBI Director James Comey demanded the New York Field Office “cease and desist” their Clinton Foundation investigation.
