McCarthy to Call FBI Director Wray Regarding Non-Compliance “With a Congressional Subpoena”

On Thursday’s “Fox & Friends,” House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said he would be calling FBI Director Christopher Wray to find out why the agency did not comply “with a congressional subpoena.”  This follows House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer’s (R-KY) subpoenaing the FBI for a document, FD-1023 form, in which a whistleblower alleged contains details of an alleged bribery scheme involving then-Vice President Biden and a foreign national.  The FBI had one week to provide the requested document, but only sent a letter about protecting sources and “confidentiality interests” and omitted sending the requested form.  McCarthy said, “We have oversight of the FBI. If the FBI at any time think they could withhold information from Congress, we have a severe problem on our hands.”
