Objectivity 4.8 | Credibility 4.8 | Relevance 4.9

On Tuesday in El Paso, a “targeted enforcement operation” will be launched by the Biden administration to process, possibly deport, and expel illegal immigrants amid the border surge as Title 42 will end this week.  Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will carry out the operation in El Paso where about 2,200 migrants are currently camped or living on the streets near the main ports of entry connecting with Juarez, Mexico. According to official statistics, in only 72 hours there have been over 26,000 apprehensions and over 7,000 “gotaways” as migrants flooded the border.  Also, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) has activated 545 Texas Guardsmen at the border to assist.  Border chief Alejandro Mayorkas emphasized, “The border is not open… And the smugglers who exploit vulnerable migrants are spreading misinformation.”
