The House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement on Wednesday will hold a hearing for “The Biden Border Crisis: Exploitation of Unaccompanied Alien Children” to investigate the unprecedented numbers of unaccompanied children (UACs) at the border.  Tara Lee Rodas, an HHS whistleblower, and two other witnesses will appear before the Subcommittee.  In her written testimony Rodas said, “Whether intentional or not, it can be argued that the U.S. Government has become the middleman in a large scale, multi-billion-dollar, child trafficking operation run by bad actors seeking to profit off the lives of children.” Customs and Border Protection (CBP) statistics show the number of UACs have surged from 33,239 in fiscal year 2020 to 152,000 in fiscal year 2022.  Already in 2023, over 70,000 unaccompanied children have been encountered.
