Parental Rights Bills Gain Momentum Across the U.S.

Objectivity 4.8 | Credibility 4.9 | Relevance 4.7

Legislation is being introduced and passed across the U.S. to protect a parent’s right to refuse the use of gender pronouns and other gender ideology in public schools. Supporters such as New Hampshire Republican Dan Innis, who is gay, believe that the transgender movement targeting children and the attempts to remove parents from the process “goes just too far.” However, teachers unions and some LGBTQ organizations warn that the parental rights bills are creating “dangerous situations” for children suffering from gender dysphoria. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) calls the legislation “anti-LGBTQ.”  Over 460 bills have already passed or are pending in all but three states.
