On Thursday evening the House Judiciary Committee disclosed a shocking letter addressed to Secretary of State Antony Blinken uncovering the origin of the false claim that Hunter Biden’s “laptop from hell” was “Russian disinformation.” The letter, signed by fifty former intelligence members and organized by former CIA director Mike Morell, reveals the claims were prompted by the Biden campaign and Blinken himself. Morell told the Judiciary Committee that Blinken, then senior campaign official, reached out to him following the release of information published by the New York Post about influence peddling and overseas business dealings found on Hunter’s laptop. Morell said he organized the letter and signatories to “help Vice President Biden” because he “wanted him to win the election,” and was prompted to take action after Blinken contacted him about the letter.
