New Rasmussen Poll Reveals Majority of Likely Voters Think Feds Provoked Events of Jan. 6

Objectivity 4.6 | Credibility 4.8 | Relevance 4.7

A new Rasmussen poll shows that a 65% majority of likely voters believe that the chaos surrounding the January 6 protests at the U.S. Capitol was incited by undercover federal agents.  The report reads, “Seventy-four percent (74%) of Republicans believe it is at least somewhat likely that undercover government agents helped provoke the Capitol riot, as do 59% of Democrats and 62% of voters not affiliated with either major party.”  These results follow the release of surveillance footage from the Capitol by Fox News’ host Tucker Carlson.  Government officials deny any involvement in the events that day.  Approximately 1,000 protestors have been charged with crimes relating to the J6 Capitol riots and sentenced to years in prison.  The Department of Justice said it intends to charge hundreds more.
