Following the recent leak of highly classified materials regarding the Russia-Ukraine war, members of Congress are looking for answers about how the 21-year-old alleged leaker had access to such high-level documents. Jack Teixeira, the young airman who is an IT specialist with the Air National Guard, allegedly distributed a trove of classified documents on Discord to a private group. He was arrested on April 13 at his Massachusetts family home and charged in federal court the next day in Boston. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said, “The system failed. This is a major failure.” Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) said, “We focus intensely on how to keep our secrets safe. And I have a lot of questions about why were these documents lying around? Why did this particular person have access to them?”
