On Thursday Jack Teixeira, 21-year-old Air National Guard member, was arrested in Massachusetts in connection to the leaking of hundreds of Pentagon classified documents, according to the New York Times. The documents were leaked to an invite-only Discord channel called “Thug Shaker Central” which Teixeira oversaw and had around 20 to 30 members, as reported by the Washington Examiner. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said he only became aware of the leak on April 6. Brig. Gen. Patrick Ryder was unable to confirm Teixeira as a person of interest, however one official said Teixeira may have information relevant to the investigation.
