Internal government documents obtained by America First Legal through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request appear to confirm that the Biden administration was involved in the raid of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home. The documents indicate that the FBI initially obtained access to Trump records through a “special access request” from the Biden White House, which the group says suggests “unlawful abuse of power” and lies to the American people. The records also show that John Laster, responsible for administering all access requests for presidential records, was involved in the request, despite previous claims of non-involvement by the National Archives.
