The 63 Chinese Christian refugees who were members of the Shenzhen Holy Reformed Church being detained in Thailand have been released and will arrive in the U.S. Friday night after a three-year ordeal. They had fled to South Korea then Thailand to escape persecution from China’s communist regime. Thailand officials decided to deport them to the U.S. rather than China after the Family Research Council, Freedom Seekers International, and Sens. Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio prevailed upon the U.S. State Department to intervene. Dr. Bob Fu of China Aid said, “This is truly a GOOD FRIDAY toward this Resurrection Sunday blessing to persecuted faithful in China and around the world. Barely a week ago, members of the Mayflower were still incarcerated in a jail facing imminent danger of CCP kidnapping threats. Now they are safe and free.”
