Israel Shoots Down “Unidentified Aircraft” After Weekend Strikes

Objectivity 4.8 | Credibility 4.8 | Relevance 4.8

Over the weekend Israel conducted airstrikes within Syrian territory for the ninth time since the beginning of the year, against what the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Syrian opposition war monitor, said were Syrian military and Iranian militia sites, including a research center inside the province and city of Homs. Syrian state media reported that five soldiers were wounded in the attacks. Sunday night, Israel intercepted and shot down an unidentified aircraft which crossed into Israel from Syria.  Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not directly refer to the airstrikes Sunday night during a Cabinet meeting, but emphasized that despite a major domestic crises over proposed judicial reforms, Israel would still “act against our enemies on all fronts, in any place and at any time necessary.”
