Audrey Hale, 28-year old shooter who killed 6 people including 3 children at The Covenant School, private Christian school in Nashville, was being treated for an emotional disorder. Hale, former student at the school, also identified as transgender, which reports being a point of contention with her Christian parents.  Hale was killed by Nashville police officers Rex Engelbert and Michael Collazo.  While police continue to investigate Hale’s motive for the attack, police have revealed that Hale had purchased seven guns legally, three of which were used in Monday’s deadly attack.  Police have also revealed that Hale contacted a friend just before the attack, texting, “I’m planning to die today.” The attack has reignited the debate on gun control and whether or not schools need armed security.
