A bombshell document has been obtained by DailyMail.com which could cripple Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s pursuit of criminal charges against Trump over alleged campaign finance violations made during the 2016 presidential campaign. A letter from Michael Cohen’s lawyers to federal authorities in 2018 states: “Mr. Cohen used his own personal funds” and “Neither the Trump Organization nor the Trump campaign was a party to the transaction with Ms. Clifford, and neither reimbursed Mr. Cohen for the payment directly or indirectly.” One year later, Cohen’s sworn testimony to Congress appears to be in direct conflict with the statement in the letter. Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen is the star witness in the Manhattan DA’s case against Trump.
