Objectivity 4.2 | Credibility 4.8 | Relevance 4.7

On Monday former President Donald Trump accused Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg of “interference in a presidential election.”  Bragg’s office is seeking to indict Trump over allegations of payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels during Trump’s presidential campaign in 2016.  On Truth Social, Trump said,  “ALVIN BRAGG SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE CRIME OF ‘INTERFERENCE IN A PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.'”  It is a crime for a government official to use “official authority for the purpose of interfering with, or affecting, the nomination or the election of any candidate” for president under U.S. law.
