Mid Vermont Christian School was recently banned from entering any more state tournaments for forfeiting a girls game due to the other team having a transgender player. Last month, Mid Vermont had dropped out of a previous tournament for the same reason. Head of School Vicky Fogg stated, “…it was unfair and unsafe for the high school girls to play against a biological male on the opposing team.” The Vermont Principals’ Association (VPA) is continuing to support the state’s transgender athletes and is currently still standing on their ruling while Mid Vermont intends to make an appeal.
