With the approval of the Willow Project in Alaska, ConocoPhillips is projecting that once online, it will deliver an estimated 65 million barrels of oil per year, provide 2,500 construction jobs and 300 long-term jobs and pump an estimated $8-$17 billion in new local, state and federal tax revenue.  ConocoPhillips Chairman and CEO Ryan Lance said, “This was the right decision for Alaska and our nation.”  While the Biden Administration approved the project despite objections from environmental groups, it did approve only certain parts of the project prompting criticism from Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy (R) who said, “In the end, every American pays the price when President Biden restricts our ability to develop our own energy resources.”
