What began as a four-day event has turned into an ongoing revival lasting for 19 weeks with no signs of stopping. Old Zion Baptist Church in Hammond, Louisiana, saw just 125 attend the first meeting, but 34 people gave their hearts to Jesus Christ and by the fourth night the church gym was packed. Now the services fill a 2,500 person tent and more than 1,300 people have been saved since mid-October of last year, with an estimated attendance of over 30,000 people. Brian Lester, assistant with Voice of Hope Ministries, said, “Since Asbury, the hunger has grown even more in this area to see revival. We’ve never seen anything like it. We believe what happened at Asbury and is happening in Louisiana needs to spread over the entire nation.”
