Journalist Matt Taibbi released another round of Twitter files on Thursday on the “incestuous self-appointed truth squad” operating within Twitter, federal agencies, establishment media, and non-profit organizations with aligned ideology regarding censorship, which he calls the “Censorship Industrial Complex.” This comes on the same day as the Congressional hearing on the Twitter Files. Taibbi cited an internal document from “the ultimate example of the absolute fusion of state, corporate, and civil society organizations,” Stanford Internet Observatory’s Election Integrity Partnership (EIP), who said “true conent” might “promote vaccine hesitancy” such as “stories of true vaccine side effects” they deemed as “malinformation.” Taibbi wrote, “According to the EIP’s own data, it succeeded in getting nearly 22 million tweets labeled in the runup to the 2020 vote.”
