LGBTQ AZ School Board Members Ban Christian Student-Teachers

Objectivity 4.6 | Credibility 4.7 | Relevance 4.7

Recently a school board in Arizona voted to end its 11-year partnership with Arizona Christian University (ACU) which has supplied the school with student-teachers. Three of the five who sit on the school board identify as members of the LGBTQ community and opposed renewing the contract with ACU, arguing that having student-teachers representing biblical values would pose a threat to the LGBT students, according to The Christian Post.  ACU President Len Munsil said, “The school board’s recent decision to ban ACU students from serving as student-teachers was done for one reason only: our University’s commitment to our Christian convictions.”  He continued, “That’s wrong, it’s unlawful, and will only hurt the district’s students.”
