20,000 Fill Asbury College But Services To Be Moved Off Campus

An estimated 20,000 people attended services at Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky, a town with a population of 6,000.  Over the weekend, people were willing to wait in a miles-long line to attend one of the services which have been ongoing since February 8.  In their effort to encourage and commission others to ‘go out’ and share what they have experienced, Asbury announced they will no longer host the services beginning February 21.  The services will be held at other locations in the Central Kentucky area.  President of Asbury College Kevin J. Brown, Ph.D., said in a short video following the announcement, “We look to other schools, other churches or ministry communities as co-commissioners in this movement that’s taking shape for us.”
