Apple product users were alerted by U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) on February 14 of a substantial security risk found for iPhones, iPads and MacOS devices as Apple announced a new update for those risks.  More details about the update were provided by security research firm Sophos which urged users to update as soon as possible.  Regarding one of the exploits, it said, “Just looking at a website, which ought to be harmless, or opening an app that relies on web-based content for any of its pages (for example its splash screen or its help system), could be enough to infect your device.”
