South Dakota Bans Sex Changes for Minors

Objectivity 4.7 | Credibility 4.7 | Relevance 4.7

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noam (R) signed a bill into law on Monday prohibiting child sex changes for the entire state. The Help not Harm Bill no longer allows any surgeries pertaining to sex change or non-surgical methods such as puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones. With the new law, any medical professional in violation will be prosecuted and lose their license. “South Dakota’s kids are our future. With this legislation, we are protecting kids from harmful, permanent medical procedures” said Gov. Noam after signing the bill.
