Two years after the Politico story by Natasha Bertrand broke: “Hunter Biden story is Russian disinfo, dozens of former intel officials say,” former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper is now speaking out that Politico “deliberately distorted” the letter by him and other intelligence officials. The timing of Clapper’s accusation raises questions from critics just as House Republicans are investigating the matter. Miranda Devine, New York Post columnist, said Clapper’s comments “show what a fraud he is, and that he’s worried now the GOP controls the House and has vowed to haul in the signatories and make them testify under oath. He’s trying to pre-shape the narrative.”
