Florida Medical Boards Vote to Ban Sex Change Drugs and Surgeries For Minors

Objectivity 4.7 | Credibility 4.7 | Relevance 4.7

In a joint meeting on Friday, the Florida Medical Board and the Florida Board of Osteopathic Medicine voted to ban all medically transitioning sex change drugs and surgeries for minors statewide. The board heard testimonies from both pro- and anti- minors transitioning before voting. “The Boards of Medicine and Osteopathic Medicine are apolitical bodies that have the primary mission of protecting the people of the state of Florida,” stated an executive director of the board, Paul Vasquez. The decision was made based on the medical science according to the board, not political influence.
