Continued Terror Attacks in Jerusalem Spark Tougher Counter Measures

Objectivity 4.8 | Credibility 4.8 | Relevance 4.8

In the latest in a series of recent terror attacks in Jerusalem, an Arab resident of East Jerusalem rammed his car into a bus stop killing two young brothers aged six and eight, a 20-year old newlywed man and wounding five others.  An off-duty Israeli policeman shot and killed the terrorist. The recent spate of attacks has led Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir to increase the counter-terrorism response, calling for police raids and other restrictive measures against Palestinian residents of East Jerusalem, similar to an operation carried out in the West Bank 20 years ago. Over the weekend Israel also intercepted a rocket fired from Gaza Strip and destroyed a Hamas weapons factory in response.
