Israeli Defense Force troops have raided the Aqabat Jabr refugee camp near Jericho in search of two gunmen who staged an aborted attack on a nearby restaurant on January 28.  After locating the two men inside the camp, IDF forces staged a raid and were fired upon.  Five men, including the two gunmen from the January 28 attack, were killed and at least 3 others wounded.  Hamas Spokesman Hazem Qassem said, “Our people and their resistance will not delay in responding to this crime.” Israel’s National Security Minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir praised the raid saying, “anyone who tries to harm the citizens of Israel knows that he will pay a heavy price for his activities and our security forces will reach him wherever he hides.”
