The Pentagon will brief the Senate about the Chinese spy balloon that crossed the continental United States last week. The Gang of Eight, a group of eight bipartisan congress leaders, will be briefed as soon as Tuesday, however, the full Senate will be briefed on February 15. “The briefing involves where we stand with respect to China on everything from surveillance capabilities to research and development, to advanced weapons systems and other critical platforms,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said.
