The home of prominent billionaire Ihor Kolomoiskiy was raided by Ukrainian security forces. Kolomoiskiy owned the network which aired the sitcom in which Zelenskyy played the role of a president. While Zelenskyy was campaigning in real life to become president, he had a close relationship to Kolomoiskiy, who was a major donor to the campaign. Aside from being accused of embezzling over $1 billion from two gas companies, Kolomoiskiy was linked to Burisma gas company in 2014, the same company of which Hunter Biden sat on the board. Hunter’s contact at Burisma, Vadym Pozharskyi, was reported to be connected to Kolomoiskiy. Kolomoiskiy has been under U.S. sanctions since 2021.
