CNN’s Dana Bash drilled Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) on Sunday’s edition of “State of the Union.” Bash confronted Schiff about his statement in 2016 that there was direct evidence of former President Trump’s collusion with Russia. She said that Republicans have proof of Schiff using his position on the Intelligence Committee to “intentionally mislead Americans, which is why you should not be on that committee.†Bash also challenged his claim that the committee had not spoken to a whistleblower and “that turned out not to be true” according to Washington Post fact checkers. He replied, that he “should have been more clear” in his answer when approached by the Washington Post.
