Former U.S. Ambassador to the UN and South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley plans to announce her 2024 presidential bid on February 15 in Charleston, according to two South Carolina Republicans close to her. Haley would become the first Republican challenger to President Trump for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. “I don’t think you need to be 80 years-old to go be a leader in D.C.,” Haley, 51 years old, said in a Fox News interview last month. “I think we need a young generation to come in, step up, and really start fixing things.”
