The New York Rangers hockey team declined to participate in “Pride Night Friday” by choosing not to wear rainbow-colored jerseys or use rainbow stick tape.  The team chose instead to wear Reverse Retro jerseys which depict the face of the Statue of Liberty.  Liberal media outlets and LGBTQ+ activists slammed the team for the move.  However, the organization said in a statement, “In keeping with our organization’s core values, we support everyone’s individual right to respectfully express their beliefs.”
