Mayor Eric Adams is mandating that all New York City employees complete a training on “racial equality.” The critical race theory-oriented course frames America as being founded on the oppression of minority groups. The course is designed to create “awareness†of daily interactions between people from different races in the workplace. “Where they were discussing equity, how we have to look at people through a particular lens, that contradicted… [the idea that] we should treat everybody equally” a trainee stated.
