The tensions between China and Taiwan have continued into the new year as it is reported that Chinese military vessels and aircraft have come close to Taiwanese territory, according to defense officials. Reaching the third uninterrupted week of Chinese attacks, Taiwan was invaded with nine aircraft from the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and four vessels from the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN). “R.O.C. Armed Forces have monitored the situation and tasked CAP aircraft, Navy Vessels, and land-based missile systems to respond [to] these activities” Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense tweeted.
