China is unlikely to see a big COVID-19 rebound in the coming months as 80 percent of Chinese population have already been infected with the virus, a top Chinese health official said last Saturday. Wu Zunyou, chief epidemiologist of China’s Disease Control and Prevention Center, said on the Weibo social media platform that the possibility of a second COVID wave in the next two or three months is very small amid concerns over the mass movement of people during the Lunar New Year holiday period.
