A California school district recently advertised a lecture for all students ages 12+, specifying children may attend with any adult aged 18+, to a radical gender theory lecture held by Rachel Pepper. Pepper is a child sex change-affirming therapist and author of a book for parents with gender-transitioning children. Davis Parent University hosted the event which was advertised on social media and appeared on the student portal where students access their assignments, side-stepping parental involvement. Opposition from about 30 parents who peacefully protested with signs outside in the rain may have influenced the decision of organizers to to change the event to virtual rather than in person. Â
