As dignitaries, industry leaders, and media figures gather for the annual World Economic Forum in the Swiss ski resort town on Davos, sex workers swarm in to offer their services.  According to the German newspaper Bild, a prostitute who goes by “Liana” said an American attendee frequently uses her services, paying $750 per hour or $2500 for the whole night.  The manager of an escort service based in Aargau, 100 miles from Davos, said she received 11 bookings and 25 inquiries with the expectation of many more.  One German sex worker, Salome Balthus, tweeted that politicians are unlikely to solicit services, saying, “They have neither the time nor the desire.”
